Dear Parents,

Tomorrow evening our much anticipated Middle States reaccreditation visitation will begin. At 7:00P.M. we will present our Philosophy to the visiting team members, parents, students and invited guests. We are well prepared and I expect that the commendations and recommendations we receive will enhance SMS.

On Wednesday grades 4 & 7 will take the Writing Assessment. Their teachers have been preparing the students with a variety of writing prompts.

Last week’s Book Fair was a grand success. Many thanks to Mrs. Singer and her volunteers.

The month of December brings with it a flurry of activities: the Secret Santa Sale, Breakfast with Santa and the Christmas Concert among the notable events. Our First Lego Leaguers have been working tirelessly; their competition is next week. Each Monday morning during the season of Advent we will have our Advent Wreath Lighting Prayer Service.

Again, may I remind you that upon entering the building, please announce yourselves to the office. No one may visit a teacher or classroom without the knowledge of the office.

Also, please adhere to STOP-DROP-GO. Students being dropped in front of the building are walking into the traffic exiting the school driveway. This is dangerous now and more so during the colder, icier weather.
