St. Michael's 4th Graders Nicholas Sammartino and
Owen Lynskey garnered high honors in this year's Union County
Poster Contest. Their posters were in the Top Ten out of over 400
entries from all over Union County. Nicholas took 4th Place overall and
Owen earned Honorable Mention.
The Awards Ceremony took place
on April 26th in the rotunda of the Union County Courthouse in
Elizabeth. St. Michael's Principal Sandy Miragliotta, 4th Grade teacher Leni Kahle, Union County Sheriff Ralph Froehlich, County Clerk Joanne
Rajoppi and County Surrogate James LaCorte were among the notables on hand to
congratulate the winners and distribute the awards.
With last year's wins in the contest by St. Michael's Janine Puhak and Alex Codella, this makes two consecutive years that St. Michael's garnered a pair of top prizes in the county poster competition. We are very proud of our students' ongoing committment to excellence and we congratulate them for their success.
